Helpful Websites

During my time as an educator I have found many ways to integrate technology into my classroom. Below you will find some online resources that I have found helpful for myself as a teacher, as well as student learning resources that could be utilized in the classroom as well as at home. Just click on the websites logo and you can check them out for yourself!

ClassDojo can be used to communicate with parents. This app can also be used as a behavior management tool that shares real-time data with parents. Parents and teachers can download the app onto smart devices for easy access.

Seesaw allows teachers to keep all student work in one digital portfolio. Teachers can assign, assess and provide feedback to students without the use of paper! This app also includes a way for teachers communicate and share student work with parents.

Kahoot! is a class favorite that allows students to show what they know in a game-based collaborative setting. Student responses to questions are also recorded so teachers can use them for formative assessments! 

Learning A-Z provides resources for reading, writing, and science content. I find that the leveled readers provided by the  Reading A-Z and Raz-Kids online reading programs allow me to provide differentiated reading instruction for each of my students. 

BrainpopJr. includes videos, games and more that are based on these K-3 content areas; English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art and Music, Health, and Engineering and Technology. Everything on this site is read aloud for easy student use.  

Starfall is a website that provides interactive content that can help children learn about reading, basic math, shapes, and phonics. There are many songs, games, and books available on this site. 

ABCya is a free website with tons of educational games that can be played on computers or through their mobile app. Games are categorized by grade level for easy access to appropriate games for all different learners. 

XtraMath is a free website that can be used by students to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division fact fluency without the stress of finding all those flashcards!

Math Games provides free mathematically-based games that are organized by grade level and standard. This website also provides quizzes and worksheets based on standards. 

ABC mouse is a resource geared towards younger students. This website includes over 5,000 learning activities including games, songs, puzzles and more that can be used to help students build a strong foundation for success.
